It’s officially Halloween season! My awesome and amazing friend Sara threw a Halloween party at her house last Saturday, we of course all dressed up, and we don’t really even need an excuse to. It was also the birthday of Suzzie and I, (my birthday twin even though she is two years younger than me!) yes folks, I am officially 27 years old, OLD. We celebrated accordingly with delicious chili, snacks including birthday cupcakes, booze, and lots of Rock Band. Just so everyone knows, I am horrible at Rock Band, but I like to think that my enthusiasm makes up for it.
The best part of a Halloween party is all of the costumes! I love that all of our friends are such dorks; it was almost a cosplay party in some aspects. Kyle’s love for the tenth doctor negates any distain he tries to display for Doctor Who (he hates Matt Smith for some insane reason), so we went as Ten and Rose. Let me tell you, it was so odd wearing that wig because it was a throwback to 2007 when I had long blonde hair, at least I don’t have the 25+ pounds that I used to have with it, ick. Mariah went as Gwen Stacey, Suzzie was Poison Ivy, Jamie was badass and went as a Hell’s Angel, Becky was April O'Neil. Dan went as a nerd, and Brian, Brian was a giant hotdog. I wish I had gotten pics of people at the party; I took a few when we first got there and failed to take any since. Some of my favorites were Sara’s costume as Kaylee, Bane, Robin, Waldo, the couple who came as board games, and another Brian who went as a giant chicken. Awesome times had by all.
It looks like we will be wearing our costumes again for Halloween party at a bar that my friend Cix is playing at. I think it is so cool to see what people come up with, so many of my friends make their costumes, and make multiple ones each year. Halloween is the best!
